To cancel your booked exams within the cancellation period (which is up to seven days after the exam series closure date) you will need to log into your MyCIPS area of the website with your membership number and password.
View the full schedule of exam deadlines including cancellation dates for each individual exam series.
After the cancellation deadline has passed we are only able to accept applications for deferral for medical and exceptional reasons which have occurred either during the examination series or for a significant time in the revision period for the examination series. Please note you will need to provide evidence and we will not be able to consider your deferral request if insufficient information is provided.
Please email any requests to email@example.com.
If a deferral is agreed you will receive a confirmation email outlining your next steps and confirming that any exam fees paid will be credited to your CIPS account for future use. In line with the terms and conditions of exam bookings exam fees are non-refundable.
Please note under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations (June 2014) there is a 14 day ‘right to cancel’ period for online bookings.
Procedure for complaints against study centres
If you have a complaint which concerns an issue within the control of a study centre, you should address that complaint to that study centre in the first instance and copy any correspondence relating to the matter to CIPS Networks Manager, at the registered office at Easton House, Easton on the Hill, Stamford, Lincolnshire, PE9 3NZ. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
If, having been through a study centre’s complaints or grievance procedure, the matter remains unresolved, we may consider, if it is appropriate, intervening on your behalf.
